動詞不定式的用法 (1)

動詞不定詞是由「to + 動詞原形」構成 (有時可以不帶to)。其否定形式是「not +動詞不定式」(not不與助動詞連用)。它屬於一種非謂語動詞的形式,在句子中不能充當謂語,沒有人稱和數的變化,但它可以保留動詞的性質,其本身可以

附加成分如帶有賓語或狀語(不定式和其附加成分稱為不定式片語)。動詞不定詞(片語)的句法功能非常廣泛,在句中可作主詞、受詞、補足語、表語、定語及狀語等成分。

一、作賓語

(1) 能夠接動詞不定詞作賓語的有 ask, agree, beg, decide, determine, fail, hope, manage, offer, plan, prepare, pretend,

promise, refuse, wish 和 would like/love 等動詞,但 finish, enjoy, miss, appreciate, mind, advise, suggest 等動詞後面通常只能接動名詞作賓語。例如:

I hope to visit this place again. 我希望能再度訪問此地。

She enjoys reading very much. 她非常喜歡閱讀。

The driver failed to see the other car in time. 司機沒能及時看見另一輛車。

(2) 動詞不定詞與名詞構成複合受詞時,通常要用 it 作形式受詞,而將真正的受詞-動詞不定詞後置。例如:

I found it difficult to see him here.

我發現在這裡見到他是很難的。

二、雙賓語

雙賓語由直接受詞和間接受詞組成。

直接受詞是謂語動詞的承受者,間接受詞表示謂語動作的方向(對誰做)或動作的目標(為誰做),間接受詞緊接在謂語動詞後,但它不能單獨存在。它和直接受詞組成雙賓語。

如:Please show me your passport.請把護照給我看一下。

(your passport 是直接受詞,me 是間接受詞)

間接受詞可以用一個由to 表示動作方向或for 表示動作目標所造成的片語來表示。這時,間接受詞置於直接受詞之後。我們可以把上面例句改寫成:

Please show your passport to me.

常見的可以接雙賓語的動詞有:give, bring, lend, pass, send, show, leave, buy, tell, teach, sell 等。
