一、used to的用法

used to意為“過去常常”，用於表示過去習慣性的動作或存在的狀態（強調與現在的對比，暗示現在不做了）。其中to為不定式符號，後面跟著動詞原形。 used to只用於一般過去式，沒有人稱和數的變化。

e.g. Tom used to be very thin, but now he’s big and strong.

湯姆以前很瘦，但現在他又高又壯。

二、used to的句式變化

1. 否定句

used not

主詞 + to do sth.

didn’t use

e.g. Mike used not to study hard.

= Mike didn’t use to study hard.

麥克過去不努力學習。

2. 一般疑問句

Did+ 主詞 + use + to do…?

答：Yes, sb. did. / No, sb. didn’t.

e.g. —Did you use to go to museums?

你以前常去博物館嗎？

—Yes, I did. / No, I didn’t.

是的。 / 不是。

3. 反意疑問句

主句+ didn’t+人稱代名詞？

e.g. Your brother used to have noodles for breakfast, didn’t he?

你哥哥過去早餐常吃麵條，不是嗎？

辨 析

Did he use to wear glasses?

used to do sth.

表示過去習慣性的動作或存在的狀態。

to後跟動詞原形，只用於一般過去式。

2. be used to + n. /pron./doing

意為“習慣於…”，to是介詞，後接名詞、代名詞或動名詞。可用於各種時態。

3. get/become used to sth./doing sth.

意為“逐漸習慣於…”，強調這習慣的過程，to是介詞。

lonely : adj. 作表語，表示 （主觀上）孤寂作定語，多修飾表示地點的名詞，意為“偏僻的、荒涼的”
