1. First, connect the monitor to the computer.

首先，連接顯示器與主機。

connect「連接，把…連結起來」。

connect +名詞/代名詞 +( with/to)

eg: The railway line connects Wuhan and Shanghai.

這條鐵路線連接武漢和上海。

Please connect me with Beijing University.

(打電話用語)請給我接北京大學。

2. switch on 打開

意思是「打開或接通電源」。其反義詞為switch off “關閉”，與turn on （開）；turn off (關閉)意思相同。

3. So, use the mouse and click “new document”.

然後，用滑鼠點選「新檔案」。

① 這是一個祈使句，使用了並列連接詞and 並列use 和click。也可以不用and, 改為動詞不定詞來表達。即：use the mouse to click “new document”.

② 介詞with有「使用，用…工具」之意，該句也可以用介詞with 來改寫。 So, click “new document” with the mouse.
