This week in school,we discussed transportation.

We learned about trains,planes,bicycles,cars and rockets.

The teacher asked us to think about the future of transportation. What types of transportation will people use a hundred years from now on? We had to think of an invention and present it to the class.

Today Danny gave his presentation. He put on an old backpack. He called it “Flying Donuts”. He got on a chair and jumped down. Then he said,“Did you see me? I flew!” We all laughed.

I would like to invent a clean car,but I don't know how. Do you have any ideas?

kind /kaɪnd/ n.種類;類型

kind表示「種類」時,

常用於片語:a kind of...「一種…」;

all kinds of...「各種各樣的…」;

different kinds of...「各種各樣的…」。

eg: It is a kind of animal with long ears and a short tail.

它是一種長著長耳朵和短尾巴的動物。

There are different kinds of mooncakes in the box.

盒子裡有不同種類的月餅。

There are all kinds of flowers in the garden.

花園裡有各種各樣的花。

What kind of...「哪一種…?」常見的結構:

What kind of+單數名詞+is this?

What kind of+複數名詞+are these?

eg:What kind of tree is this?這是哪一種樹?

What kind of trees are these?這些是什麼樹?

sound /saʊnd/ v.聽起來 n. 聲音

考向一【重點】sound表示“聽起來”,是一個連系

動詞,後面常接形容詞作表語。

eg:Your idea sounds great.
