辨析：some與any

some和any都有「一些」之意，都可修飾複數名詞與不可數名詞，表示不定的數量及程度。 some用於肯定句中，在請求、建議的疑問句也用some。 any常用於否定、疑問句。

I have some books.

Do you have any friends in America?

但在表示建議，反問，請求的疑問句中，或期望得到肯定回答時，多用some而不用any。

Would you like some coffee?

你要不要來點咖啡?

What about some fruit juice?

來點水果汁如何?

3. Now, something new is growing at the top of the stem. 1) something new 新的東西。 every, some, any, no與one, body, thing組合起來的字叫不定代名詞。不定代名詞作主語，謂語動詞用第三人稱單數。當不定代名詞帶有形容詞時，形容詞放後面，作後置定語。

2) at the top of 在頂部/頂端，其反義短語是at the bottom of 在底部。 on (the) top of 在高處，反義片語是at the foot of 在腳下。
