rubbish garbage litter 「垃圾」 不可數名詞

2.Ｗe should pick up the garbage.

pick up “拾起，撿起” 動詞片語

pick up the garbage = pick the garbage up

pick it up pick them up

pick up 也可以表示「(順便用車)來接」。

例：I‘ll pick you up at five this afternoon.

3. It would take too long.

take v.“花費”

It takes sb. some time to do sth.

cost v. “花費 ; 價值為”

Sth. cost(s) (sb.) some money

4. Each student could clean up a bit of the school yard.

a bit of=a little 意為「少數，一點兒」修飾不可數名詞。

例：There is a bit of/a little water in the bottle.

瓶子裡有一點兒水。

另外，a bit=a little 意為「一點兒」修飾形容詞或副詞，表示程度輕。

例：It is a bit /a little cold today.
