What day is it today？今天星期幾？

此句是詢問對方星期幾時常用的交際用語。

其答語用「It is…」。

eg：—What day is it today？今天星期幾？

—It's Monday.今天星期一。

「day」為可數名詞，其複數形式為days。

eg：You can stay at home for three days.

你可以在家待三天。

How is the weather？天氣怎麼樣？

eg：Please smell the soup！請聞聞這湯！

此句是談論天氣時常用的交際用語。回答時常用表示天氣狀況的形容詞。

eg：—How is the weather today?

今天天氣怎麼樣？

—It's fine.天氣很好。

談論天氣是西方人見面時互相寒暄、打開話題、擺脫冷場和尷尬局面的最佳選擇。此句還可以跟著「What's the weather like？」取代。即：
