Are you familiar with these sentences? They are all from this module.
請學生大聲朗讀本模組學習過的並列複合句，然後進行小測驗。
1. When are you leaving and how long are you going to stay there?
2. It sounds crazy, but I don’t know what to take.
3. Shorts are good, or you can wear light trousers.
4. I’m leaving at the end of July and I’m going to stay there for four weeks.
5. You can choose to take trips to Hollywood, Disneyland or San Francisco, or you can go shopping.
Grammar
並列複合句
並列複合句是指並列連接詞and, but, or等把兩個或兩個以上的簡單句連在一起而構成的句子。
1. 基本結構：
簡單句 + 並列連接詞 + 簡單句。
I help him and he helps me.
He is very old but he is in good health.
You can stay here, or you can leave.
2. 並列連接詞前後簡單句之間的關係。
(1) 並列關係
They are watching TV, and the others are listening to the radio.
(2) 選擇關係
The children can go with us, or they can stay at home.
(3) 轉折關係
She was tired, but she did not stop working.
注意：
(1) 並列複合句有時可以不用連詞，而用分號隔開（前後句之間的關係須相當緊密）。例如：
We fished all day; we did not catch a single fish.
我們釣了一整天魚；但一條魚都沒釣到。
(2) 並列連接詞後面的簡單句如果與前面的簡單句有相同的部分，相同的部分可省略。例如：
Snoopy lives in his own world and (Snoopy) finds real life hard to understand.
史努比活在自己的世界裡，覺得現實生活難以理解。
講解完並列複合句後，做課本60頁的1、2大題進行練習。
做完後組內核對答案，老師適當評論。
