find [faɪnd]

作動詞，意為「找到」。

eg：Linda can’t find his new dress. 楊玲找不到她得新裙子。

小練習：漢譯英：找到我的家 find my home

拓展：look for強調尋找的過程，

find則是強調尋找的結果。

eg：I am looking for my little dog, but I can not find it.

我正在尋找我的小狗，但是我找不到它。

turn [tɜ:n]

作動詞，意為轉動。

eg：turn left 向左轉

小練習：漢譯英：向右轉。 Turn right.

拓展：（1）turn to sb./ sth.意為「轉向某人或某物」。

（2）turn作動詞，意思是「變成」。

（3）turn作名詞，意為「機會」。

come out為固定片語，意為出來。 come out from...意為「從...出來」。

eg:Come out from the plane. 從飛機裡出來。

She asks a policeman for help. 她請一位警察幫忙。

ask sb. for help 為固定短語，意為「向某人尋求幫助 」。

小練習：選出適當的介詞填空：I ask my mum____(for, on)help.

拓展：（1）ask sb about sth.問某人關於某事

例如：ask him about his health 詢問他的健康狀況。

（2）ask sb. to do sth. 要求某人做某事。

例如：My mun asks me to finish my homework first.

國外巧問路

在國外，人生地不熟，免不了要問路，問路並非一件難事，有的時候透過問路還能讓你體會不同國家的不同文化，不同種族的不同性格。在英語國家問路要比在非英語國家方便一些，只是英語國家的人講英語語速比較快，所以對英語的要求比較高一些。聽不懂的時候千萬不要不好意思，乾脆就要求對方講慢一點。其實在國外問路也不要過度擔心，只要你問路的時候抓住最主要的地名，就算是問路時僅僅使用中文對方也能猜到你的意思。

Once there lived a wolf in the forest. Everyday he went up to look for food. There were many sheep and deer in the forest. They were all afraid of him.

One day the wolf saw a group of sheep. He tried to catch them to eat. The father sheep and mother sheep stood together to fight him. So the wolf could do nothing.

Later the sheep had a quarrel. They went away each. When the wolf saw this, he was happy.

He caught them to eat one by one. At last he ate all the sheep.
