Language points

1. Many people don’t always see things the same way so they may describe the same person differently.

人們並非總是以同樣的方式看待事物，所以他們會將同一個人描述得不同。

1) same 和different 是一對反義詞，前者表示“相同的；同樣的”，後者表示“不同的；有區別的”。

same 當形容詞時常用在名詞之前，且之前往往有定冠詞the。例如：

the same way 相同的方法；同樣的路子；同樣的方式

the same person 同樣的人；同一個人

2) differently 是different 的副詞形式，在句中修飾動詞，表示「不同地；有區別地」。

3) people 和person

people 表示“人；人們”，為複數名詞；

person 為單一的人，有複數形式。例如：

two persons 兩個人

He’s a very nice person.

他是一個非常不錯的人。

There are a lot of people in the park on the weekend.

週末公園裡有很多人。

2. Also, they don’t always remember well.

而且，他們並不總是記得牢靠。

當also用於句首時，其後往往有逗號與句子的其他部分隔開。這時，also 用來修飾整個句子，相當於漢語中的「同時；還；而且」。例如：

Feng’s 先生 class is interesting. Also, he makes it easy to understand.

馮老師的課很有趣。同時，他也把課講得簡單易懂。

also 也常表示“也”，往往位於句中動詞be之後、行為動詞之前。例如：

My father can speak English. He can also speak English.

我爸爸會說英語，他也會講法語。

Jane’s brother is twelve. Her sister is also twelve. They are twins.

簡的哥哥12歲，她姊姊也12歲。他們是孿生兄妹。
