start out 意為“啟程，出發；開始或著手做…”

2. If we pollute the rivers and oceans, fish may get sick or even die.

get在此相當於動詞be的用法，後面跟著形容詞sick作表語。如：

He didn’t get hurt.

live off意思是「以…為食；以…為生；依賴…生活」 。如：
