省略的to要还原。

except
除……之外，表示“从所提到的人或事物中除去”即从整体中除去一部分，后跟名词或代词
We all laughed except the teacher. (The teacher didn't laugh.)

besides
除了……还有……，表示将一个或几个人或物加到同一类中，后跟名词或代词
They can do it well besides me. (I can do it well.) 除我之外，他们也可以做得很好。
except for
除了……之外，说明整体情况后，对细节加以纠正，后常跟名词
He is a good man except for his hot temper. 他是个好人，除了脾气暴躁之外。
but
除了……之外，前面是带有no, none，nothing，nobody等否定词的句子
Nobody can open my diary but me. 除我之外，没人能打开我的日记本。
