◆Our teacher asked us to interview people about their jobs.老师让我们采访不同的人了解他们的工作。
interview意思是“面试,采访,会谈”,既是名词,也是动词。
eg:He has an interview next week for the manager's job.他下周要接受一个经理职位的面试。
We interviewed 20 people for the job.为这份工作,我们面试了20人。
◆He was busy fixing a pair of pants,but he still answered my questions.他正忙着修剪裤子,但仍然回答了我的问题。
(1)be busy doing “忙着做……;忙于……”。
(2)pants,trousers, scissors, shorts,glasses等都用复数。
◆It sounded like an enjoyable job.这听起来是个令人愉快的工作。
sound是系动词,sound like意思是“听起来像……”。
【拓展】sound还可作名词,意为“声音,响声”。
◆I learned a lot about the people in my neighbourhood.All of them were friendly and the interviews were enjoyable.我了解了很多关于我们社区人们的情况。他们都很友好而且采访很愉快。
(1)learn about/of意思是“听说,了解”。
(2)friendly 形容词,意为“友好的”,常用短语be friendly to。
eg:The animals are friendly to us.这些动物对我们很友好。
