(1)But I taught myself by listening to the radio and watching TV programs. 但我通过听收音机和看电视节目自学（演唱）。

teach oneself意为“自学”，相当于learn...by oneself.

The girl taught herself English.== The girl learned English by herself.

(2)“Maybe I’m not good enough to be a singer, ” I said to myself.我心里想：“或许我还不够好去成为一位歌唱家。”

enough修饰形容词或副词要放在其后面。enough+形容词/副词+ to do 表示有足够的……去做某事。

1.He is old enough to go to school.

2.The room is big enough for five people to live in.

(3)My teacher encouraged me to take part in the show.

encourage sb. to do sth. “鼓励某人做某事”

take part in 参加

My parents always encourage me to study hard.

believe in意为“信任，信赖”。
