Description
"Zou Ji satirizes the King of Qi and accepts remonstrance" PPT courseware 5
"Warring States Policy" is a compilation of national histories during the Warring States Period and a collection of historical essays. Also known as "National Policy" and "State Affairs", it was compiled by Liu Xiang in the Han Dynasty. There are 33 chapters in the book. It mainly records the remarks and actions of the strategists during the Warring States Period. It is a wonderful work in pre-Qin historical prose, and its influence on later historiography and later literature is extremely profound.
Zou Ji was a politician during the Warring States Period. Zou Ji (about 385 BC - 319 BC) was a minister of the Qi State during the Warring States Period. He persuaded King Wei of Qi with drums and harps, and was appointed prime minister. He was granted the title of Marquis of Xiapi. He persuaded King Wei to reward his ministers, officials and people for their remonstrances, and advocated political reform.
King Wei of Qi was a very accomplished king. According to historical records, at the beginning of his succession to the throne, he was fond of sexual pleasure and ignored political affairs. Later, the counselor Chunyu Kun (kūn) came to admonish and said: "There is a big bird in the country, and it stops at In the royal court, it has not flown or sounded for three years. What does the king know about this bird?" After hearing this, King Qi Wei suddenly realized and said: "If this bird does not fly, it will soar into the sky; if it does not sing, it will make a sensation." From then on, Qi Wei Wang worked hard to govern, cultivate political principles, and achieve great governance in Qi.
Read the text again
1. Read the sentences accurately 2. Understand the meaning of the text
How does the beginning of the article describe Zou Ji's appearance and actions? What do these reflect?
The sentence "Zou Ji was more than eight feet tall, and his appearance was beautiful" describes Zou Ji's tall and beautiful appearance. Action: "Court Clothes, Looking into the Mirror" describes Zou Ji looking into the mirror to see his appearance and realizing its beauty, which vividly depicts his self-appreciation psychology.
Zou Ji's wife, concubines, and guests all agreed that he was more beautiful than Mr. Xu, but what was the difference in the tone of their replies?
Clear: The tone of his wife's answer is very affirmative, showing her sincere love for him and her love for him.
The concubine's answer lacked the sentence "You are so beautiful" and "How can Mr. Xu be as good as you?" It showed the timidity of the low-status concubine and her restrained speech.
The guest's reply was, "Mr. Xu is not as beautiful as the king." His tone was flat, showing a social and ingratiating attitude.
The article describes the attitude of King Qi Wei using only the word "good", but the content of the issued orders, the admonitions of the ministers, and the results of the revised politics are more detailed. What are the benefits of writing this way?
Because of the latter, one word "good" by King Qi Wei is worth a long paragraph of description. This is a bit detailed, a bit too detailed, so detailed and vivid. From the text, what is the reason why King Wei of Qi finally enabled Qi to "defeat the imperial court" and achieve "great governance"? What does this teach us? Please briefly talk about your views based on your life experience.
From the text, what is the reason why King Qi Wei was able to finally make Qi "defeat the imperial court" and achieve "great rule"? What does this teach us? Please briefly talk about your views based on your life experience.
The reasons are: first, there are virtuous officials like Zou Ji who dare to give direct advice and are good at admonishing; second, King Wei of Qi manages democracy, is good at spreading opinions, adopts the opinions of others, and manages the country well, making Qi's internal affairs clear.
Inspiration:
(1) When analyzing problems, we must dare and be good at putting forward our correct opinions.
(2) Be able to humbly seek opinions from teachers, classmates, etc., and be able to listen carefully and adopt their correct opinions.
Although Zou Ji is an ancient man, we in modern times can learn from his secret skills of sarcasm, because today's society really needs us to have good expressive and communicative skills.
Suppose we have a classmate who is addicted to the Internet and uses the computer as his friend all day long with nothing to do. So, students, how should we persuade him? How to set him on the right path!
