Tusu wine: In ancient times, every household used Tusu grass to make wine on New Year’s Eve. Drinking Tusu wine is a custom during the Chinese New Year.

Drinking Tusu wine means "killing ghosts and reviving human souls." It is said that on the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year, if the whole family drinks this wine facing east, they will be protected from getting sick for a year. From now on, the wine drank during the Spring Festival will be collectively referred to as Tusu wine.
