(1) Ice is solid.

(2) After water turns into ice, its form changes from liquid to solid.

Xiyangyang Experimental Design

Preparation materials: test tube, purified water, thermometer, rubber stopper with a hole in the middle, plastic cup, towel, ice cubes, salt.

Step 1: Put half of the purified water in the test tube, fix the thermometer on the rubber stopper and insert it into the test tube. Read the temperature value.

Step 2: Wrap a cup in a towel to make a thermos cup. Fill a thermos with crushed ice.

Step 3: Put the test tube into crushed ice. Observe the change in temperature value.

Step 4: Add some salt to the crushed ice and continue to observe the numerical changes of the thermometer.
