(1) Egypt’s independence (1952)
Nasser himself
Born on January 15, 1918 in Alexandria Bakas District and died on September 28, 1970. When he was in primary school in Cairo, he participated in many anti-British demonstrations. After graduating from high school, he entered the Royal Military Academy of Egypt and obtained the rank of second lieutenant after graduation. While serving in the Egyptian army in Sudan, he met three young officers, namely Mohideen (later Vice President), Amer (later Field Marshal) and Sadat (later Nasser as President).
