Born in 1946 in Dongping County, Shandong Province. He graduated from middle school in 1966 and returned to his hometown to work in 1968. In 1970, he worked as a teacher in Huanglong County, Shaanxi Province. Later he served as secretary of the commune party committee. Secretary of the Propaganda Department of the County Party Committee and editor-in-chief of "Youth Monthly" magazine. Member of Chinese Writers Association. Member of the Children's Literature Committee of the Chinese Writers Association. Since 1976, he has published more than 2,000 poems and more than 500,000 words of fairy tales in more than 100 publications across the country, including People's Daily, People's Literature, and Poetry Magazine. More than 40 works have been selected as teaching materials for the new Chinese curriculum standards for primary and secondary schools approved by the Ministry of Education. Another three works have been selected into the official Chinese textbooks for primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong. In 1978, he was transferred to the editor of "Shaanxi Youth" magazine and is currently the editor-in-chief of the magazine (which has been renamed "Youth Monthly"). Member of Chinese Writers Association. Started publishing works in 1975. He mainly writes children's poetry, but also writes fairy tales and children's stories. He has published a collection of children's songs "Songs in the Cradle", a collection of children's poems "Autumn Wind Dolls", "A Bouquet of Poems for Middle School Students", "Poems for Boys and Girls", etc.
