Introduction to Liang Sicheng:

Liang Sicheng, a famous modern Chinese architectural historian, architectural educator and architect. A native of Xinhui, Guangdong. Born in Tokyo, Japan on April 20, 1901, graduated from Tsinghua School in 1923.

From 1924 to 1927, he studied in the Department of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. He received his bachelor's degree in February 1927 and his master's degree in June of that year. From July 1927 to February 1928, he studied the history of world architecture at Harvard University Graduate School in the United States. In March 1928, she married Lin Huiyin in Vancouver, Canada.

In 1928, he returned to China and founded the Department of Architecture of Northeastern University, and later joined the China Architecture Society to study the history of architecture. In 1946, he founded the Department of Architecture of Tsinghua University. Died in Beijing on January 9, 1972. Liang Sicheng's main works include the auditorium and teaching building of Jilin University, the facade of Renli Company, the female dormitory of Peking University, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and the Memorial Hall of Monk Jianzhen.
