PPT on the rule of the Ming Dynasty, part 2: new lesson exploration
1. The establishment of the Ming Dynasty
1. Analyze the reasons for the outbreak of peasant uprising in the late Yuan Dynasty.
At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, politics was very corrupt, and officials at all levels tried their best to plunder people's wealth, which led to social unrest and people's livelihood.
2. Basic situation of the establishment of the Ming Dynasty:
Time: 1368
Capital: Yingtian (Nanjing)
Founder: Zhu Yuanzhang, Ming Taizu
Time of the destruction of the Yuan Dynasty: 1368
The symbol of destroying the Yuan Dynasty: capturing Dadu
2. Zhu Yuanzhang strengthened imperial power
When the country was first established, the political situation was unstable and people's hearts were floating. How should I consolidate my rule and strengthen my monarchy?
1. Read historical materials:
In the first month of the thirteenth year of Hongwu (1380), Prime Minister Hu Weiyong said that the spring water gushing out from the well of his old residence was auspicious, and he invited Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, to come and watch it. Zhu Yuanzhang went happily. When he reached the Xihua Gate, the eunuch Yun Qi held on to the reins tightly and pointed desperately at the Hu family. Zhu Yuanzhang felt that the situation was serious, and found that there were soldiers hiding in Hu Weiyong's house. Taizu was furious and had Hu Weiyong and others executed on the same day on charges of "falsely accusing the wise" and "harming politics". At the same time, a large number of senior generals, including the first hero of the founding of the Republic of Korea, Lee Sun-chang, were implicated, resulting in the death of more than 30,000 people. This is known as the Hu Weiyong case in history.
2. Read the materials, combine the textbook knowledge, and talk about the historical reasons why Zhu Yuanzhang strengthened imperial power.
The demise of the Yuan Dynasty was due to decentralization and excessive power of courtiers.
3. Group into groups (central, local, military, special agents) to discuss Zhu Yuanzhang’s measures to strengthen imperial power.
(1) Central Group: In order to further centralize power, Zhu Yuanzhang abolished the prime minister system and Zhongshu Sheng, and the six ministries were directly responsible to the emperor.
(2) Local groups: cancel the provinces and establish "three divisions" to divide the power of the original Xingzhongshu Province into three parts, which are not subordinate to each other, thus decentralizing the power of the provinces; enfeoff the princes as kings and garrison in various places to consolidate Royalty.
(3) Military Group: Divide the original Metropolitan Governor's Palace into the Five Military Governor's Palace, and transfer the power of army mobilization and military attache appointment to the Ministry of War, so that the emperor directly controls the military power.
(4) Special Agent Group: Zhu Yuanzhang set up Jinyiwei, and during the Ming Dynasty Chengzu set up Dongchang.
3. Imperial Examinations and Economic Development
(1) Eight-part essay to recruit scholars
1. Read historical materials:
Material 1: The so-called eight-legged essay, each article consists of ten parts: breaking the topic, carrying the topic, starting the topic, entering the topic, setting the topic, starting the strand, middle strand, back strand, closing strand, and falling.
Material 2: Gu Yanwu, a famous scholar in the Ming Dynasty, once criticized the Eight-part Essay: The harm of the Eight-part essay is equivalent to burning books, and the destruction of talents is worse than the suburbs of Xianyang.
2. According to the teaching materials, the purpose of obtaining scholars will be brought out.
Strengthen ideological control.
3. The scope of examination for eight-part essay examination.
The examination questions must come from the "Four Books" and "Five Classics"; the candidates' interpretation of the questions must be based on Zhu Xi's "Collected Commentary on the Four Books" as the standard, and they are not allowed to use their own arbitrariness.
