In the mouth, food is chewed up by the teeth and mixed with saliva, and some of the starch in it is digested.

The esophagus is not straight, and food ground by the teeth passes through the esophagus and into the stomach.

The liver can secrete bile and flow it to the small intestine to help the small intestine complete its digestion and absorption tasks.

There is gastric juice in the stomach, which can kill some bacteria and initially digest the protein in food. It is also constantly contracting, wriggling, and kneading food. The pulpy food then slowly enters the small intestine.

The large intestine is relatively wide, and indigestible food residues slowly enter here.

The small intestine is winding and winding, like a winding mountain road. Here, intestinal juice, bile, and pancreatic juice work together to digest sugars, proteins, and fats in food. Nutrients are absorbed by the blood vessels in the villi on the wall of the small intestine and spread throughout the body.

Feces is passed from the anus.
