They drank wine and composed poems, and compiled the poems they had written into a collection of poems. Wang Xizhi compiled a collection of poems on the spot. Wang Xizhi, courtesy name Yishao, Han nationality, was a famous calligrapher during the Eastern Jin Dynasty and was known as the "Sage of Calligraphy". Langya was born in Linyi (now Linyi, Shandong).

He successively served as secretary, general Ningyuan, and governor of Jiangzhou. Later, he was the internal history of Kuaiji and the general on the right.

His calligraphy is good at Li, Cao, Kai, Xing and other styles. He breaks away from the writing style of Han and Wei Dynasties and becomes his own style with far-reaching influence. His representative work "Lanting Preface" is known as "the best running script in the world". In the history of calligraphy, he and his son Wang Xianzhi are collectively known as the "Two Kings".

Wang Xizhi's greatest achievement was to add to and detract from the ancient calligraphy, transforming the simple calligraphy style of the Han and Wei dynasties into a calligraphy style with exquisite brushwork and beautiful style.

The full name of "The Monument of Shence's Army" is "The Monument of the Holy Virtue of the Emperor's Visit to Zuo Shence's Army". It was erected in the restricted area of ​​the imperial palace in the third year of Huichang (843 AD) by Emperor Wuzong of the Tang Dynasty. The size of the stele is unknown. It was written by Cui Xuan and signed by Liu Gongquan. The inscription records the demise of the Uighur Khanate and the surrender of Andimes, which has important historical value. This stele was written by Hanliu Gongquan, which adds to the artistic value of this stele.

The inscription written by Liu Gongquan has a neat calligraphy structure, which fully embodies the open, stable and symmetrical characteristics of the "Liu style" regular script. In addition, the inscription on the inscription is exquisite and the rubbings are indistinguishable from the original, so it is regarded as a masterpiece of Liu script by later generations.
