In June 1944, the anti-fascist (sī) Allied forces assembled more than 2.8 million troops and launched a landing campaign (yì) in the Normandy region of France, engaging in a rare (hǎn) desperate struggle with the German army. Located at the center of the landing, Grand Conmaisi Beach was filled with smoke, the sound of artillery was loud, and the battle was extremely fierce.

Today, 60 years later, the sun shines on this seaside town full of flowers.
