Description
"Socialist Construction in the Soviet Union" PPT courseware
Part One: Lenin’s Exploration of the Road to Socialist Construction
Material 1: After the end of the civil war, the surplus grain collection system was not abolished, but intensified. The amount of grain purchased doubled from 1920 to 1921, and the price farmers received was only some "colored paper" that devalued by 99.5%. Farmers could no longer bear this increasingly severe and uncompensated expropriation, and their dissatisfaction turned into peasant riots.
Material 2: Workers are increasingly dissatisfied due to the deterioration of their living conditions. In the spring of 1921, workers’ strikes and protest marches took place in Petrograd, Moscow and other cities. Even more serious was the Kronstadt sailors' rebellion that took place on February 28. They shouted "free trade" and "supported a Soviet without communists." Most of the sailors who participated in the rebellion came from the countryside, and their mood reflected the dissatisfaction of the farmers.
new economic policy

Stalin model
1.Socialist industrialization
During the two five-year plans, the Soviet Union built more than 6,000 large-scale industrial and mining enterprises, established aircraft, automobiles, tractors, chemical industry, electric power, machine manufacturing and other departments, forming a relatively complete industrial system. The Soviet Union transformed from an agricultural country into a world-class industrial power. In 1940, the total industrial output value exceeded that of Germany, Britain and France, ranking first in Europe and second in the world.
One of the important projects of industrialization during the Soviet Union’s “1st Five-Year Plan”—Dnieper Hydropower Station
① Features: Implement the five-year plan; focus on the development of heavy industry.
②Process: From 1928 to 1937, two five-year plans were completed.
③Achievements: The Soviet Union transformed from a traditional agricultural country into a powerful industrial country, and its national defense strength was greatly enhanced.
2. Agricultural collectivization
①Background: Industrialization is progressing rapidly
②Purpose: In order to meet the needs of industrialization
③Measures: Abandon the New Economic Policy, force farmers to join collective farms, and crack down on rich farmers.
④Completion: In 1937, agricultural collectivization was completed
3. Stalin model
In 1936, the Soviet Union adopted a new constitution and declared that the Soviet Union was a "worker-peasant socialist country", marking the formation of a highly centralized political and economic system in the Soviet Union. That is, the Stalin model was formed.
Evaluate the Stalin model
What socialism actually looks like, the Soviet Union has been working on it for many years, but it still has not fully understood it. Maybe Lenin had better ideas and launched a new economic policy, but later the Soviet model became rigid. ─Deng Xiaoping
Why did Deng Xiaoping comment that "Lenin's ideas are better"? Which model does the model in "The Soviet Union's model became rigid later" refer to? Why is it said that "the Soviet model has become rigid"?
Sign of formation: the promulgation of the new Soviet constitution in 1936
Main features: highly centralized economic and political system
There are disadvantages: ① Priority is given to the development of heavy industry, leaving agriculture and light industry in a backward state for a long time.
② Under the planned economic system, one-sided emphasis is placed on output value and output. Resulting in fewer product varieties and poor quality.
③The state has taken away too many things from farmers, harming the interests of farmers. Farmers have no enthusiasm for production, and agriculture has been stagnant for a long time. ④ Economic development is rough, economic efficiency is low, and resources are consumed and wasted in large quantities.
