①Preliminary processing

As the wastewater flows through the treatment equipment, the flow rate slows down and the larger solids settle down. When the water passes through the sedimentation tank, the smaller particles sink to the bottom to form sludge.

②Reprocessing

In a trickle filtration system, wastewater is filtered through gravel, and the surface of the gravel can also be covered with a layer of bacteria to break down waste in the sewage.

③Additional processing

The water is discharged into an open-air pond, where it is naturally purified by sunlight and air, and pure water vapor is formed when it enters the atmosphere. Chlorine is generally added before the treated water is discharged again.

After effective treatment, wastewater can be returned to the environment harmlessly. Can be discharged into lakes, rivers and oceans, or seep into the ground.

Treated water that is not suitable for drinking can still be used in other ways, such as watering lawns and trees, or as cooling water in factories.
