At the turn of the century, Mr. Yang Zhenning reviewed many new things that had appeared in the world in the past two hundred years, analyzed the reasons for the endless emergence of new things in the past two hundred years, especially in the past two or three decades, and based on this, he proposed the concept of "science" and "technology". "Which one is more important question, which further explains the similarities and differences between Chinese and American educational philosophies in encouraging innovation.
According to the prompts of the article's main purpose, how can we divide the article into two parts?
Scientific Thoughts at the Turn of the Century

Reason: The development of industry has greatly promoted human productivity (3-9)

Explanation method and language
1. Point out the explanation method appearing in the following paragraphs and analyze its function
I can give you an example: a hundred years ago, the world's agricultural population accounted for more than 80% of the total population; today, the agricultural population in the United States only accounts for 1%-2% of the national population, but the food they produce is not only It can be eaten by all Americans and exported around the world.
1. Give examples, list numbers, and make comparisons.
2. It effectively illustrates that "the development of industry has greatly promoted human productivity."
2. Can the red words and words in the following sentences be removed? Why?
1. "Fortune" magazine said that the total assets of newly established technology companies in the past 30 years have been close to 1 trillion US dollars, and this growth rate is still increasing day by day.
cannot. Because "nearly" and "nearly" are words that indicate divisors, the numbers listed are more accurate.
2. Over the past two hundred years, especially the past one hundred and fifty years, the world has been driven forward by three interrelated links.
cannot. "Association" means that things are involved and influence each other. The three links are science, industry and economics
Problem solving
What is the author’s view on the relationship between “science” and “technology”?
The author believes that there is no simple answer to the question of which of the two is more important. It must be adapted to local conditions, people and countries. Because "science" and "technology" are intertwined and mutually utilized. However, people or countries may pay different attention to, value and investment in “science” and “technology” due to their different focus and values.
In the early days of reform and opening up, my country introduced a large amount of foreign investment and also introduced foreign high-tech, advanced production lines and management technology. Foreign enterprises provided capital and technology, and my country provided labor and sites, which opened up a myth of "Made in China". It is a period of emphasis on "skills". Later, the country began to implement economic transformation, transforming this resource-based "extensive" into a science and technology "intensive" economic model, constantly improving the competitiveness of our economy in the world, and beginning a period focusing on "science". Of course, "science" and "technology" are not either-or, but are interconnected and complementary.
