The Russian front during World War I
Russia's military supply situation during World War I: In August 1914, Russia was short of 300,000 rifles; in October, it was short of 870,000 rifles. In 1916, due to fuel shortages, the smelters could only supply half of the metal needed for the war industry. The frontline requires 3 billion rounds of ammunition every year, but the annual production capacity is 500 million rounds; the monthly requirement for artillery shells is 1.5 million rounds, but the production capacity is only 50,000 rounds. In addition, food supplies were tight, and the army could only obtain half of the original supply.
The Russian home front during World War I
During the First World War, 15 million adult men in Russia were conscripted into the army, and 2 million horses were conscripted for military use. About Lenin
