"Yellow River Cantata"

Guang Weiran (1913-2002), a modern poet and literary critic. His original name was Zhang Guangnian, a native of Guanghua, Hubei. In 1927, he participated in the first civil revolutionary war in his hometown and joined the Communist Youth League of China in the same year. After the failure of the revolution, he worked as a shop apprentice, bookstore clerk and primary school teacher. He died at the age of 89. His works include poetry collection "Mayflower", lyrics "Sanmenxia Cantata", essay collection "Realistic Issues in Comedy", etc.

Xian Xinghai, formerly known as Huang Xun and Kong Yu, was originally from Panyu, Guangdong, and was born in Macau. He is a modern Chinese composer and pianist. The "Yellow River Cantata" composed in 1939 is the most well-known work.
