RevisionPPT, the third part: grammar training
present perfect tense
The present perfect tense expresses the impact or result of an action that occurred in the past on the present; it can also refer to an action or state that started in the past that continues to the present or is likely to continue. Words or phrases that are often used with the present perfect tense include: already, just, yet, so far, for + a period of time, up to now, etc.
Test point 1: Sentence changes in the present perfect tense.
The present perfect tense is composed of "auxiliary verb have/has + past participle". Its various forms are changed by the auxiliary verb have/has. That is, when changing into a negative sentence, add not after have/has, and when changing into a question sentence, add have/has to the front of the subject.
Test point 2: Express the impact or consequences of actions that occurred in the past on the present.
Often used with already, yet, never, just, ever, etc.
eg: She has already finished the work.
She's done the job.
I have just heard the news.
I just heard this news.
He has never/ever visited the Great Wall.

Have you ever________ (hear) of “Tiger Mother”, Amy?
Test point 3: It means that the action started at some time in the past and has continued to the present, and is likely to continue.
Often used with "for + time period" or "since + sentences expressing past time points or simple past tense".
The young man ___________(live) alone since he graduated from college.
Words expressing instantaneous actions cannot be used together with time adverbials expressing a period of time in affirmative sentences in the present perfect tense. When these words are used with a period of time, the following changes can be made:
Leave → be away; begin, start → be on;
join → be in; die → be dead;
buy → have; borrow, lend → keep
eg: The game has been on for five minutes.
The game has started five minutes ago.
