Give examples of unit price, quantity and total price.

I bought 5 table tennis balls for 2 yuan each, totaling 10 yuan.

Among them: "2 yuan each" is the unit price, "5 ping pong balls" is the quantity, and "10 yuan spent in total" is the total price.

Example 1. Read the invoice below. What information do you understand from it?

Yucai Primary School bought 62 sets of desks and chairs at 108 yuan each.

I also bought 14 bookcases for 215 yuan each.

(1) How to find the unit price when the total price and quantity are known?

Example: The school sports day is coming soon, and the school bought 5 new footballs, which cost a total of 120 yuan. How much is each football?

Unit price = total price ÷ quantity

120÷5=24 (yuan)

Answer: 24 yuan per football.

(2) Given the total price and unit price, what can be found?

Example: The school sports day is coming soon, and the school spent a total of 120 yuan on footballs. It is known that each football is 24 yuan. How many footballs did the school buy in total?

Quantity = total price ÷ unit price

120÷24=5 (pieces)

Answer: The university bought a total of 5 footballs.
