When designing a cuboid packaging box, you must first draw an expanded diagram of the cuboid, then cut it out and fold it into a rectangular parallelepiped.

2. The design of the graphics and text on the box must be novel, meaningful, and beautiful.

As shown in Figure 4-4-3, it is an expanded view of a cuboid box without a lid (overlapping parts are not counted). Find the volume of the box.

Solution: The length of a cuboid box without a lid is 5, the width is 3, and the height is 1, so the volume of the box is 5×3×1=15.

Is the above solution correct? If it is incorrect, please explain the reason and correct it.

Solution: Incorrect, because I couldn’t imagine the geometry, I got the length, width, and height of the cuboid wrong.

Correct answer: As can be seen from the figure, the length of the cuboid box without a lid is 3, the width is 2, and the height is 1, so the volume of the box is 3×2×1=6.
