Description
"Pressure of Liquids" Pressure PPT
Part One: Preview Perception
1. Characteristics of liquid pressure
1. Cause: Liquid has gravity and fluidity.
2. Study the characteristics of liquid pressure
(1) Research methods:_______________,_______________.
(2) U-shaped tube pressure gauge: The size of __________ on the left and right sides of the U-shaped tube reflects the liquid pressure on the probe membrane.
3.Features
(1) There is pressure in all directions within the liquid.
(2) At the same depth of the liquid, the pressure is equal in all directions; the deeper the depth, the greater the pressure.
(3) The internal pressure of a liquid is also related to the density of the liquid. When the depth is the same, the greater the density of the liquid, the greater the pressure.
2. The size of the liquid pressure
1. Formula: p=ρgh.
2. Understanding: where ρ is the density of the liquid, the unit is kg/m3; h represents the depth (that is, the vertical distance from the point where the pressure is sought to the free liquid surface), the unit is m; g is a constant.
3. Connector
1. Definition: A container with an open upper end and a connected lower end.
2. Features: When the same liquid in the connector does not flow, the liquid level height in each part of the connector is always the same.
3. Application: kettle, boiler water level gauge, ship lock, etc.
Liquid pressure PPT, part 2 content: interactive classroom understanding
Understanding the liquid pressure formula
1. Liquid pressure formula p=ρgh. h refers to the vertical distance from a certain point inside the liquid to the free liquid surface, not the distance to the bottom of the container.
2. From p=ρgh, we know that the liquid pressure is only related to the density and depth of the liquid, and has nothing to do with the shape and thickness of the container, the volume and mass of the liquid, etc.
3. The formula ______ is suitable for calculating the pressure of solids, liquids, and gases, while the formula p=ρgh is only suitable for calculating the pressure generated by stationary liquids and the pressure generated by columnar objects.
[Example] As shown in the figure, a cylindrical container weighing 6 N and having a bottom area of 0.01 m2 is placed on a horizontal table and contains 20 cm of water. The mass of the water is _____ kg; the pressure of the water on the bottom of the container and The pressures are _____Pa and _____ N respectively; the pressure and pressure on the horizontal table are _____N and _____ Pa respectively. (The density of water is 1×103 kg/m3, g is 10 N/kg)
Tips When answering questions about pressure calculation, you should first distinguish whether it is solid pressure or liquid pressure, and whether to find pressure or pressure first.
(1) Find the pressure and pressure of the liquid on the bottom of the container
Use p=ρgh to find the pressure→use F=pS to find the pressure
(2) Find the pressure and pressure of the container on the support surface
Use F=G to find the total pressure → use _____ to find the pressure
Analysis The mass of water is
m water = ρ water V = ρ water Sh = 1.0×103 kg/m3×0.01 m2×0.2 m=2 kg.
The pressure of water on the bottom of the container is
p=ρwatergh=1.0×103 kg/m3×10 N/kg×0.2 m=2×103 Pa.
The pressure of water on the bottom of the container is
F=pS=2×103 Pa×0.01 m2=20 N.
The pressure on the horizontal table is
F'=G water+G volume=m water g+G volume=2 kg×10 N/kg+6 N=26 N.
The pressure on the horizontal table is
Pressure of liquid PPT, Part 3: Try the application
1. Characteristics of liquid pressure
1. Open three small holes at different heights of the plastic cylinder. When the cylinder is filled with water, water will spray out of each hole as shown in the figure, which indicates the liquid pressure ()
A.Related to depth B.Related to density
C. Depends on the thickness of the liquid column D. Depends on the shape of the container
2. A classmate was doing experiments to study the internal pressure laws of liquids in the laboratory. The picture below is one of the experiments. This experiment illustrates _____.
In the picture in the question, the probes are located at the same depth of the liquid and the probes point in different directions. The height difference of the liquid levels on both sides of the U-shaped tube is the same. Therefore, it can be concluded that at the same depth inside the liquid, the pressure of the liquid in all directions is equal.
2. The size of the liquid pressure
3. As shown in the figure, what can correctly describe the relationship between liquid pressure and depth is ()
In the same kind of liquid, the pressure of the liquid increases with the depth (liquid pressure is proportional to the depth).
4. my country's Jiaolong submersible successfully broke through the 7,000 m water depth mark in the dive test. As the diving depth increases, the water pressure experienced by the Jiaolong will _______ (choose "increase", "unchange" or "get smaller"), if the density of seawater is 1.03×103 kg/m3, the pressure of seawater experienced by Jiaolong at a depth of 5 000 m is _______Pa. (g is taken as 10 N/kg)
3. Connector
5. In the device as shown in the figure, a U-shaped tube open at both ends contains a certain amount of water. Tilt tube A to the right. After stabilization, the water surface in tube A will ()
A.Higher than the water surface in tube B
B. Lower than the water surface in tube B
C. Level with the water surface of tube B
D. All three situations above are possible
6. In the example shown in the figure, what is not a connector application is ()
