Part One: Classic morning reading

Send to Wei Wanzhijing

Li Qi

I heard the wanderers singing songs of departure in the morning, and I first crossed the river with a slight frost last night.

The swan geese can't bear to listen to the sorrow. The situation of Yunshan is like that of a guest.

The color of the trees in Guancheng is getting colder, and the sound of anvils in the imperial garden is getting louder in the evening.

Don't see Chang'an as a place of happiness, it will make the years easy to be wasted.

【Author background】

Li Qi (690-751) once lived in Yingyang (now Dengfeng, Henan). Occasionally travel to the east and west capitals and make friends with famous scholars. In the 23rd year of Kaiyuan, he became a Jinshi and soon became a Xinxiang captain. After five performance appraisals, he was not transferred, so he resigned and returned to Dongchuan.

Li Qi had a high status in the poetry world of the Tang Dynasty. Most of his poems were frontier fortress poems, the more famous of which is "Ancient Military Journey". Representing the mature style of Li Qi's poetry creation is the seven-character song line "Listening to Dong Da playing Hujia and making a message to the room." Among the poets of the Tang Dynasty, Li Qi was the first to successfully portray characters in poetry. The arrogant spirit of the characters written in it is a reflection of the poet's own mentality, which is highly consistent with the bold, handsome, vigorous and upright style of poetry.

Wei Wan, nicknamed Wangwushan native, later changed his name to Wei Hao, was a junior friend of Li Qi. Not only did he have a close friendship with Li Qi, he also had contacts with poets such as Li Bai. In Li Bai's collection of poems, there is also a long poem "Send Wei Wan from Wangwu Mountain back to Wangwu". This poem by Li Qi was written to send Wei Wanxi off to Chang'an.

[Perception of the theme]

The beginning of this poem points out the scenery before departure: the frost has just fallen, and the late autumn is bleak. The couplet on the chin describes the sorrow of separation, and the wanderer feels sad when facing the clouds and mountains. The neck couplet introduces the autumn scenery of Chang'an, implying that one cannot stay here for long. The last couplet, with the demeanor of an elder, told Wei Wan that although Chang'an is happy, don't waste your time and seize the time to accomplish something. At this point, the poet's overflowing sincere feelings, as well as his ardent hope and heartfelt entrustment to the younger generation of poet friends in the whole poem are expressed vividly and resonate.

【Art Appreciation】

The whole poem is good at refining words and sentences, and interweaves narrative, scene description, and lyricism, creating emotions from the scene and arousing resonance.

"I heard in the morning that the wanderers were singing songs of departure. Last night there was a slight frost and I first crossed the river." The wanderers refer to Wei Wan. In these two sentences, the poet first sent Wei Wan off at dawn, and then added that Wei Wan only crossed the Yellow River to meet the poet last night. It can be seen that the two met in a hurry, and Wei Wan was in a hurry to travel to Beijing. The word "slight frost" indicates that the season is late autumn when light frost falls from the sky. The first two sentences combine narrative and scene description, clearly explaining the cause, process, time and place of the incident.

The author imagines the various scenes Wei Wan will encounter on the way and his feelings in his heart. "The swan geese can't bear to listen in sorrow, the clouds and mountains are like a guest." As autumn turns to winter, the swan geese fly south, and the lonely geese that have lost their flock send out a wailing cry that makes people unbearable to listen to it. When a wanderer in a foreign country listens to it, he can't help but be moved by the scene, feel desolate, and feel the pain of homesickness even more deeply, as if the lost swan goose is himself, wandering everywhere with a bleak future. The author uses "unbearable" to modify "listening in sorrow", which makes readers feel more deeply about the wanderer's worries and worries. At this moment, in the author's mind, Yunshan is so desolate, with withered grass and fallen leaves in the strong wind. Step by step, walking through such a desolate scene, how can we not make people sad and miserable?

(1) Understand people and the world, broaden your horizons

1. Get closer to the author

Tao Yuanming (365-427), a famous poet in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, was born in Chaisang, Xunyang (now Jiujiang, Jiangxi). He was born into a family of declining bureaucratic landlords. Both the Book of Jin and Book of Song state that he was the great-grandson of Tao Kan, and later generations also doubt this theory. He once held the positions of Jiangzhou Jijiu, Zhenjun, and Peng Zeling. Because he could not bear the secular constraints of officialdom, he decided to resign and go into seclusion. He is good at poetry and prose, and his poems mostly describe natural scenery and scenes of rural life. His excellent works express his weariness with officialdom and secular society, showing his aspiration to be self-sufficient and unwilling to stoop to flattery. However, some of his poems also preach that "life is impermanent". People with negative thoughts such as "Happy Heaven and Peace of Life". Its artistic characteristics are both plain and hearty; its language is simple and natural, yet extremely concise, giving it a unique style. The most famous prose is "The Story of Peach Blossom Spring", while the most famous poem is "Returning to the Past". There is "Tao Yuanming Collection".

2. Understand the background

From the age of 29, Tao Yuanming became an official several times, the last time at the age of 41, due to his "poor family" and "farming was not enough to support himself. In 405 (405), he was appointed Peng Zeling. He served as an official for more than 80 days. Because he was unwilling to "bow down to a village boy for five buckets of rice, he took off his ribbon and resigned immediately" (Xiao Tong's "Biography of Tao Yuanming"). During these 13 years, the Eastern Jin Dynasty was plagued by civil strife, bloodshed, corrupt officials, sinister people, hypocrisy and deceit, and tragedy everywhere. In such a turbulent and dark era, Tao Yuanming, whose family fortunes were declining, although he had great ambitions to "reach the world" and "help the common people", the result was that he would inevitably "fail to achieve his ambitions" (Part 2 of "Miscellaneous Poems") ). So, he retired to Xunyang and began a life of farming the countryside. This article was written in 405, when the author abandoned his official position and returned to his fields. The article expresses the author's desire to resign and live in seclusion and his feelings of returning to the countryside. It expresses his unwillingness to be bound by official life and his unwillingness to get along with ordinary vulgar bureaucrats. However, it also reveals the negative thoughts of the impermanence of life and resignation to fate.

3. Tao Yuanming and Chrysanthemum

Tao Yuanming is the poet who likes chrysanthemum the most. After he retired to seclusion, his home had a "garden full of autumn chrysanthemums" ("Nine Days of Leisure"). He often sat facing chrysanthemums and picked chrysanthemums on the east fence. The poet explained the reason for his love for chrysanthemums in the second poem of "He Guo Zhubu Two": "The chrysanthemums bloom in the forest and the green pines crown the rocks. With this pure and beautiful posture, Zhuo is a hero under the frost." The chrysanthemum image in the poet's pen Like pines, they stand proudly against the frost, and they are as beautiful as spring flowers. Under the blow of severe frost, chrysanthemums bloom fragrantly and radiantly. It is the unique "chaste and beautiful" quality of chrysanthemum that the poet admired so much. The chrysanthemum is the poet's self-expression, and the chrysanthemum symbolizes the poet's aloof and unconventional personality.

There is another reason why Tao Yuanming loves chrysanthemums, which is related to the medicinal value of chrysanthemums. The poet said: "Wine can dispel all kinds of worries, and chrysanthemum can prevent aging." Taking chrysanthemum can prolong life. Eating chrysanthemum and drinking chrysanthemum wine should be an elegant thing for literati.

Return and come back with words and preface PPT, the fourth part: Entering the classroom

The first lesson (study the preface and first paragraph of the text)

(1) Read the text intensively and conduct independent discussion

1. Preface: Introduce your life background and your own thoughts and interests. Explain why you wrote this article.

2. The first part (the first natural paragraph) expresses the determination to resign and return to the field. Contains two layers: the first layer is words of self-blame. The poet thought that "the countryside will be barren", so he should return home, but in an official position, he is enslaved by the body and cannot be independent. How sad is this! It shows that the poet has his intention to return. The last level is words of self-forgiveness and consolation. The poet knows that it was wrong to seek office in the past, but it is right to abandon it today, as if he has gone astray, and he still has time to return to the right path, so he feels relieved. These two layers clarify the main theme of the full text and express the poet's disdain for officialdom and yearning for the countryside.

Question and doubt

1. The preface explains the reasons why the author resigned and went into seclusion. Please summarize it in sections based on the content of the preface.

Answer: (1) "Natural in nature, not the result of hard work", which means that one is natural in nature and will not distort oneself or force oneself to do things that one does not naturally want to do.

(2) "Although hunger and cold are severe, they can cause illness if you go against yourself." It is serious to endure hunger and cold, but if you go against your own temperament, you will suffer from physical and mental "afflictions", which may be even more unbearable than hunger and cold.

(3) "Xun Cheng's sister died in Wuchang", you need to go to the funeral.

The first of them is fundamental. Resigning from office and retiring into seclusion is due to one's own nature. "My nature is to love mountains and hills." However, officialdom was really contrary to my temperament and interests, so I finally gave up my official position and went into seclusion.

2. What role does the opening sentence of the first paragraph play in the text?

Answer: This sentence leads to the following, which expresses one's heart directly and freely, indicating that one's determination has been made and one suddenly feels free and relaxed.

3. What does the word "hate" in "Hate the Morning Light" express the author's mood?

Answer: The word "hate" points out the author's eagerness to return home, traveling day and night, and his heart-warming mood.

4. What does the last four sentences of the first paragraph say?

Answer: The author of these four sentences imagined how happy he felt when returning home day and night via land and water. The lightness of the boat and the blowing of the clothes by the wind show the relief of abandoning the official position. The morning light is dim, I hate that I can't see the road, but I can see that my heart is like an arrow. This is the rush to freedom out of prison.

The second lesson (read the second, third and fourth sections of the text and summarize the full text)

(1) Read the text intensively and conduct independent discussion

The second part (paragraphs 2 and 3) writes about the author's happy life after returning to his hometown. It can be divided into three layers: the first layer writes about the return journey and the situation when you first arrived home. It contains three stanzas: the first stanza describes the feeling of being relaxed and eager to get home on the boat; the middle stanza describes the ecstatic mood when seeing the door of the house, which is formed from the "melancholy and sad" mood when he was an official. A sharp contrast; the last section describes the situation at home, with pines, chrysanthemums, children, a room, wine, and bottles for comfort. The second layer writes about daily life after returning home. It contains three stanzas: the first one is about drinking and entertaining oneself, which is the joy of the room; the last two stanzas are about going out into the garden and viewing the scenery, lingering and forgetting to leave, which is the joy of the garden. This is the true hermit's joy. It is completely different from the relaxed mood of the immigrants.

The third layer describes the poet's travel experience in the countryside. Contains four sections: the first section reiterates the ambition to resign and return to the fields, and further expresses his contempt for those in power and official life by "breaking up with each other and ending his travels"; the second section writes about the interactions with old friends and farmers in the countryside, which provides the basis for the travel notes below. This book; the third section describes the way of traveling, "you are looking for a ravine" should be on "or a solitary boat", "you are going through rugged hills" should be on "or your life's scarf car"; the fourth section is about what you see during the trip, the first two The first sentence describes the vibrant scene of early spring in the countryside, and the last two sentences touch the scene and create emotion, which is the ending of the book describing the outlook on life.

The third part (the fourth natural paragraph) expresses the poet's feelings of "happy heaven and peace of mind". Contains three layers: the first layer follows the above, and asks himself "I will stop in my life". This is a euphemistic expression, which has the effect of triggering the following; the lower two layers are the author's own answers, and the two sentences "wealth and honor" follow from The negative answer focuses on "wealth" and uses "imperial hometown" as a foil. The middle four sentences answer from the front, using visual means to show that one is content with living in seclusion, and finally rises to the height of philosophy, pointing out "Lots of Peace" The idea of "fate" is reflected in the final chapter.

(2) Teachers give guidance and lead ideas

1. This article involves many allusions, do you know their origins?

There will be things happening in the four directions: It means that it coincides with the envoys. It comes from "The Analects of Confucius·Zilu": "Envoys will be sent to all directions." This refers to Tao Yuanming's mission from Jiangling to Jiankang, Kyoto, when he joined the army for Jianwei.

There is a feeling of returning home: "Go home", go back! "The Analects of Confucius·Gong Yechang" in the text: "Zi Zai Chen said: 'Return to the home, return to the home! The villain in our party is crazy and has become a masterpiece. I don't know why I cut it off.'"

The meaning of this sentence is to realize that the mistakes of the past cannot be undone, but there is still time to remedy the future. Advice: stop, here it is interpreted as saving. The words come from "The Analects of Confucius: Wei Zi": "You cannot admonish those who have gone by, but you can still pursue those who have come."

Return and come back with words and preface PPT, the fifth part: summary center

Through his praise of pastoral life and labor life, he showed his dissatisfaction and denial of the real politics of the time, especially the official life. It reflected his noble sentiment of disdain for fame and wealth, and also revealed his negative thoughts of being happy with life.

appreciating art

1. The ideas are clear, the structure is rigorous, and the writing is fresh and smooth. It can create a comfortable and leisurely artistic conception to express the loveliness of a reclusive life. The article writes about the situation after returning home, starting from "Three paths are deserted, but pines and chrysanthemums still exist" to "climbing Donggao to soothe one's whistle, and composing poems near the clear stream". Except for a few sentences that directly express my mood, They write about specific activities and scenery. These activities and scenery constitute a picture, from which we can realize that the characters living in the picture are far away from the world and are happy and leisurely. In this way, the artistic conception created by the author clarifies his life ideal more thoroughly and affects the readers more deeply.

2. The language is beautiful and the syllables are harmonious. This article is "Ci", and the writing follows the general convention of Ci and Fu, with rhymes (such as "gui", "bei", "chai", "fei", etc. all rhyme together, "ben", "men", "cun", etc. all rhyme together, etc. ), and often use antithetical couplets (such as the antithetical couplets of "knowing the past, do not criticize" and "knowing what is coming, you can pursue it", "the boat is far away with lightness" and "the wind flutters and the clothes are blown", etc.). In this way, people feel ups and downs, going back and forth. In addition, the words and sentences are concise and expressive. In just a few words, the tiredness of official life, the anxiety of returning home, the aloof self-admiration in seclusion, and the flourishing and lovely scenery of the fields are vividly expressed.
