Peanut: In the plant kingdom, peanut is a unique plant that flowers above ground and bears fruit underground. It must be in a dark soil environment to bear fruit, so people also call it "groundnut". Peanut is an annual herbaceous plant, and it only takes about a month from sowing to flowering. The flowering period lasts for more than two months. Its flowers are solitary or clustered in the axils of leaves. Each peanut plant blooms as few as one or two hundred flowers or as many as thousands. After the peanut blooms and is pollinated, the ovary stalk at the base of the ovary continues to elongate, and a fruit needle grows from the withered flower tube, which is purple in color and rapidly elongates vertically.
