In August 1940, Hitler's fascist gangsters captured Paris.

One day, the great painter Picasso sat in the studio worriedly. Suddenly, the neighbor Mr. Mish burst in holding a dead pigeon and cried (kū): "My grandson was beaten to death (huó) by a group of fascist bandits while he was feeding the pigeons. Picasso was very sad and painful. While comforting the sad old man, he drew a dove with his brush.

In 1949, Picasso presented this painting symbolizing peace to the World Peace Conference.
