Description
"Ode to Coal" PPT Courseware 2
About the Author
Yu Qian (1398-1457) was born in Qiantang (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang) in the Ming Dynasty. His courtesy name was Tingyi and his nickname was Jie'an. Yongle Jinshi, Xuandechu was appointed censor, and he accompanied Xuanzong to suppress the rebellion of Han King Zhu Gaoxu. When he left Jiangxi, he was filled with praises.
He was worried about his country and forgot about himself. He kept silent about his merits and kept himself frugal. His residence was only protected from the wind and rain, but he had a strong and upright nature and was quite jealous of others.
In the first year of Tianshun (1457), the Yingzong was restored. Shi Heng and others falsely accused him of plotting to establish King Xiang's son, and he was killed. In Wanli, his posthumous title was changed to Zhongsu. There is "Yu Zhongsu Collection".
Yong coal
Yu Qian
Cut through the chaos to get black gold, which contains the deepest Yang and meaning.
The fire burns brightly and rejuvenates the spring, and the furnace shines brightly through the dark night.
Ding Yi Yuan Lai generates strength, but iron and stone remain in the heart after death.
I hope that all the people in the world will be well fed and warm, and they will go out of the mountains and forests without any trouble.
【Appreciation】
This poem borrows objects to express one's aspirations. Every sentence in the poem praises coal. In fact, every sentence in the poem expresses one's embrace of dedicating one's life to the country and dying.
"Chaos" refers to nature before the separation of heaven and earth. "Wujin" means coal is like black gold. "Yanghe" originally refers to the warm sunshine, here it refers to the heat of coal. "The black gold found in the chaos is dug out, which contains the deepest yang and meaning." The meaning of the two sentences is: the coal dug out contains huge heat.
"爝(jue)火", small torch. "The fire is burning and rejuvenating, and the furnace is shining brightly through the night." It means: coal burns like a torch, making people feel infinitely warm, like the earth rejuvenating; it also makes the deep night sky very bright.
"Ding Yi" refers to the sacrificial vessels of the emperor's ancestral temple; "Iron Stone", the ancients believed that coal was transformed from iron stone. The meaning of these two sentences, "Ding Yi Yuan relies on strength, and iron and stone will remain after death" is: people must take the country and the country as their own responsibility, and they must contribute to the country even after death.
Cut through the chaos to get black gold, which contains the deepest Yang and meaning.
"Wujin" is used to refer to coal, and "Yanghe" is used to refer to coal, which expresses the poet's love for the thing he is chanting.
The first sentence: chanting coal points.
The second sentence: Positive expression, saying that this place contains the yang and buze spirit that governs the country and the people. "The deepest meaning" particularly highlights the profound meaning of this key point. "Chun Haohao" succeeds "Yanghe" and "Zhao breaks the dark night", written in contrast, showing the power of eradicating the old and establishing the new. The ancients called the prime minister of the temple Ding Nai. Here, the prime minister's actions depend on his ability to generate all things, and the metaphor is still based on the role of coal.
The fire burns brightly and rejuvenates the spring, and the furnace shines brightly through the dark night
The previous sentence describes that the burning of coal brings warmth to people, just like the return of spring to the earth;
The last sentence describes how powerful the fire can break through the dark night, showing that he is patriotic and concerned about the people.
Ding Yi Yuan Lai generates strength, but iron and stone still remain in the heart after death.
The sentence "iron stone" expresses firm and unchanging determination, which is also a portrayal of Yu Qian's personality.
It means that people who are willing to sacrifice themselves for the interests of the country are the foundation of the country and the blessing of the people.
summary
