Description
"Nan'an Army" PPT courseware
Part One: Scenario Introduction
Wen Tianxiang's literary creation, especially his poetry creation, has two distinctive features, which are divided into two stages: the early stage and the late stage. The so-called early stage refers to the stage when King Qin of Ganzhou started to walk to Zhenzhou at night. The characteristics of the poems written during this period are fresh, bright and bold, with particularly rich and strong emotions. They often encourage themselves with a full fighting spirit, making people read it like drinking fragrant grape wine, refreshing the heart. Later, after arriving in Fu'an, the situation changed fundamentally. The poems written by Wen Tianxiang at this stage are both tragic and sad, as well as graceful and elegant. Most of them lament that the journey of life is full of "dangers and difficulties" and that they are unsatisfactory.
Next we will study Wen Tianxiang's "Nan'an Army".

Wen Tianxiang (1236-1283), also known as Songrui and Lushan. No. Wenshan. A native of Luling (now Ji'an, Jiangxi Province), he was a politician, writer, patriotic poet, and famous anti-Yuan official in the late Song Dynasty. He was known as the "Three Heroes of the late Song Dynasty" together with Lu Xiufu and Zhang Shijie. From the official position to the right prime minister, he wrote to the Duke of the country. He was defeated and captured at Wupoling, and would rather die than surrender. He is the author of "Collected Poems of Wenshan", "Guanzhi Lu", "Guanzhihoulu", "Song of Righteousness", etc.
writing background
In the second year of Emperor Xiangxing's reign (1279), the last stronghold of the Southern Song Dynasty, Mount Shan, was captured by the Yuan army, and the Song Dynasty was destroyed. Wen Tianxiang was captured the previous year and headed north. He left Dageng Mountains on May 4th and wrote this poem when he passed through the Nan'an Army (the administrative seat of today's Dayu, Jiangxi Province).
Nan'anjun PPT, part 2: basic knowledge
Plum Blossom North and South Road: Many plum blossoms are planted on Dayu Ridge, hence the name Meiling. It is bounded by Nanxiong County in Guangdong to the south and Dayu County in Jiangxi Province to the north.
Picking Wei: Botu and Shuqi, sons of Lord Guzhu at the end of Shang Dynasty, when King Wu of Zhou attacked Zhou, they buckled their horses and remonstrated. Shang died and fled into Shouyang Mountain. They swore not to eat Zhou millet, but they picked Wei and ate it, and died of starvation. .
overall perception
Tell me about the meaning of the poem.
At the north-south intersection on Meihua Ridge, the miserable wind and bitter rain soaked Zheng's clothes. Who will be with me when I cross Meiling? When I return home, I will be a prisoner. The mountains and rivers will exist forever, but the city will fall into the hands of the enemy. It is my wish to starve to death in my hometown. In my dream, I am hiding on the top of Shouyang Mountain.
Nan'anjun PPT, the third part: Appreciation of poems
What do you write in one or two sentences?
Briefly highlight the places and scenery on the itinerary.
When the author arrived at Nan'an Army, he was crossing the north and south routes of Dayuling (Meiling). The plum blossoms mentioned here are not real scenes, but plum blossoms are mentioned because of Meiling. This is used to contrast with "wind and rain", which initially shows the heavy mood during the trip. The plum blossoms in Meiling swayed in the wind and rain, soaking the uniforms of the soldiers who were escorting Wen Tianxiang, who was captured after the defeat and went to the capital for trial. At this time, a burst of ice hit his heart.
What do the two sentences of the couplet explain?
The previous sentence talks about the loneliness of the journey, but it is written in a questioning tone, which makes it seem particularly sad.
The next sentence says that during this trip north, I could have returned to my hometown of Luling, but I was imprisoned and could not be free. Although I passed through my hometown, I felt like I had never returned. These two sentences express the miserable mood during this trip, and the repeated comparison of the two characters "out" and the two characters "return" makes the emotions even more exciting.
What attitude do you express in the last two sentences?
Determined to starve to death and die for the country. After speaking out, he went on a mountain hike and started a hunger strike, intending to die in his hometown. On the fifth day of the hunger strike, he had already passed through Luling and did not die in his hometown. After another three days, under the supervision of his guardian, he had no choice but to start eating. In the poem, the story of Boyi and Shuqi accusing King Wu of Zhou of "returning violence to violence" on behalf of the Shang Dynasty led him to live in seclusion in Shouyang Mountain, not eating Zhou millet, but eating weeds instead, and even starving to death (see "Historical Records: Biography of Boyi"). Be determined not to surrender. "Starving to death is really my business", he said it firmly, his righteousness is clear, and he has practical actions. It is not just empty words, it is touching.
What kind of feelings are expressed in the two sentences of the neck couplet?
The first couplet expresses grief and indignation. The last sentence is adapted from Du Fu's "Spring Hope" famous line "The country is broken by mountains and rivers". The saying "Mountains and rivers have existed through the ages" means that the mountains and rivers of the Song Dynasty will always exist and will not be occupied forever by the Yuan Dynasty. The implication is that the Song Dynasty will be revived and the mountains and rivers will have their day again. The next sentence is a paraphrase of the sentence "The city is still in trouble with the people" in Ding Lingwei's Huahe song, which means that the "city in the city is still in trouble and the people are in trouble" is only temporary. In other words, the people of the Song Dynasty will continue to fight against Hangzhou and continue to fight, and the vast city will not be destroyed. It will be occupied forever by the Yuan Dynasty. The contrast between these two sentences contains profound patriotism and self-confidence.
