"My Plant Friends" PPT

Part One: Writing Objectives

1. Choose a plant, get close to it, and get to know it.

2. Make an observation record card for the selected plants.

3. With the help of a note card, write about this plant.

4. Observe carefully before writing, and use various senses such as vision, touch, and smell to understand the plants clearly. When observing, you should grasp the characteristics of this plant.

5. When writing, write clearly what you observe and feel. Focus on the plant's appearance, color, smell, and other characteristics.

6. After you finish writing, read your work to your classmates. Students who write about the same plant can also communicate together.

My plant friends PPT, part 2: writing guidance

1. When observing, observe the size, height, shape, and color of the stems and branches of the plants, the shape, color, and changes of the leaves, and the shape, posture, and color of the flowers.

For example: observe plum blossoms

First choose a plum blossom that grows well and see how the flowers are arranged on the stem. Is it one row or two rows? Are they in the opposite row or across the row?

Then, look carefully at a flower. How many parts can it be divided into? What are the shapes and shapes of the petals? What else is there among the flowers? how many? What color, what does it look like, what does it look like? When the wind blows, what do the flowers look like doing?

Finally, you go far away and see what this large field of plum blossoms looks like under the sunlight.

2. When writing, you must grasp the characteristics of plants and use various rhetorical techniques to express these characteristics. for example:

Description techniques like this are usually placed at the beginning of the description, telling the reader straight to the point that you have a special liking for aloe vera.

(2) Metaphor. For example, "the petals are layered and layered, densely overlapping each other, like a light yellow hydrangea".

(3) Personification method.

(4) Set off method. For example, "Aloe vera is not as gorgeous as peonies, nor is it as gentle and elegant as asparagus, nor is it as fragrant as roses. But its simplicity and silent dedication to others deeply touched my heart."

(5) Combining far and near methods. The same plant looks different when viewed from a distance and up close.

(6) Lenovo method. When we see a plant, we often think of other things that often have something in common with the plant. The characteristics of plants often remind us of the principles of life. If we see a lotus emerging from the mud but not stained, we can think of the need to fight against unhealthy tendencies.

3． Write in a certain order. At the beginning, you can write like XXX in the general format. It is recommended to use the comparison method. The middle content should capture the characteristics of plants, mobilize various senses (seeing, hearing, smelling, touching, and feeling) and describe them using various rhetorical techniques. You can use a summary method at the end, such as "Looking from a distance, many strings of red are connected together, and they are dazzlingly red, really like burning flames, so beautiful"; you can also use a lyrical method, such as "I like you - Marigold ".
