Introduction:

Tambula, also known as Dongbula and Dongbula, is a traditional plucked instrument of the Kazakh, Nogai, Karakalpok and other ethnic groups in Central Asia. It is especially popular among the Kazakhs in Kazakhstan and Xinjiang, China.

In June 2008, it was selected into the national intangible cultural heritage list.

The legend of Dombula:

A long time ago, the Kazakhs lived near a forest and lived a peaceful nomadic life. As a result, there was a ferocious blind bear in the forest, which often came out to harm herdsmen and livestock, making people uneasy. Several groups of hunters sent by the king were all injured by the blind bear.

In a fierce fight, he killed the blind bear and unfortunately died himself.

The king asked him: "Do you know the whereabouts of the prince?" Aken pointed to a tall pine tree and said: "Your Majesty, it knows the whereabouts of the prince."
