"Mulan Poetry", also called "Mulan Ci" and "Mulan Song", is selected from "Yuefu Poems" compiled by Guo Maoqian in the Song Dynasty. It is a folk song from the north during the Southern and Northern Dynasties.

The folk songs of the Northern Dynasties are mainly based on the "Lianggujiao Cross-blow Music" recorded in "Yuefu Poetry Collection". It was a kind of military music played on horseback in the northern folk songs at that time. Because the instrument has drum horns, it is also called "Drum-horn Cross-blow Music".

"Mulan Poetry" is a representative work of folk songs in the Northern Dynasties. Together with "Peacock Flying Southeast", it is called the "double wall" in Yuefu poetry. Its achievements had a great impact on later generations.
