Either of the two figures that are axially symmetrical can be regarded as being obtained by axially symmetrical transformation of the other figure. An axially symmetrical figure can also be regarded as being based on a part of it and expanded through axially symmetrical transformation.
How to draw the symmetrical line segment A′B′ of line segment AB with respect to straight line l?
practice:
1. Draw a perpendicular to the straight line l through point A, with the vertical foot being point O. Intersect OA’=OA on the vertical line. Point A’ is the symmetry point of point A with respect to straight line l;
2. Similarly, draw the symmetry point B’ of point B with respect to straight line l;
3. Connect A’B’.
