Description
"Looking at the Mainland" PPT courseware
Yu Youren (1879-1964), Han nationality, was born in Sanyuan, Shaanxi Province. His original name was Bo Xun, a poet, calligrapher and politician. In the 29th year of Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty, he was elected. In 1906, he followed Sun Yat-sen and joined the Tongmenghui. In 1910, he co-authored the "Minli Bao" with Song Jiaoren and others. In 1912, he served as deputy minister of the Ministry of Transportation of the Nanjing Provisional Government and devoted himself to the struggle against Yuan Shikai. Later, he served as president of Shanghai University and other positions. He went to Taiwan in 1949 and died in Taipei on November 10, 1964.
writing background
In April 1949, the People's Liberation Army invaded Nanjing. Mr. Yu left his wife and children and was forced to go to Taiwan with the Kuomintang. In his later years, Yu Youren lived alone in Taiwan, with his wife and daughter in the mainland. As time went by, his longing for his hometown and relatives became more and more intense. However, the Taiwan Strait, full of water, ruthlessly cut off the Missing Mr. Yu. He has a home that he cannot return to, and cannot see his relatives. He lives a desolate and indifferent life.
In 1964, Mr. Yu Youren died of illness in Taipei. Later generations found two notes from his relics, one of which read: "A hundred years from now, I would like to be buried in a high place with many trees in Yushan or Alishan, where I can always look at the mainland." Side note: "The mountain should be the tallest, and the trees should be the highest. The biggest one”. I also drew a circle next to the word "高" to emphasize the feeling of climbing high and looking at the mainland in the distance. What is written on another piece of paper is the content of this article.
Please read the first and second sections with emotion.
Bury me on a high mountain, looking at my hometown;
My hometown is invisible and can never be forgotten.
Bury me on a high mountain and look at me on the mainland;
The mainland is invisible, only crying.
Let’s talk about why the poet “looks at my hometown” and “looks at my mainland”?
Because the poet's hometown is mainland China, he deeply missed the mainland, his hometown, relatives and friends, but he could not return to mainland China during his lifetime, so he asked him to be buried on a high mountain after his death so that he could "see "My hometown" and "Looking at my mainland".
On the mountain, the state is in mourning
Borrowing the word "national mourning" from the center of Qu Yuan's "Nine Songs", he expresses his deep patriotic feelings of being willing to serve his country like the fallen soldiers who fought for the Chu Kingdom, and also expresses his deep sorrow of staring at the vast land with no day to return. .
"Looking at the Mainland" is an elegiac song written by a Kuomintang veteran when his husband was seriously ill. It is full of his deep feelings of longing for the fallen leaves to return to their roots and the reunification of the motherland.
The poem expresses the author's strong desire for cross-strait reunification and his desire to return to the mainland.
