"Liangzhou Ci" PPT courseware 6
Liangzhou Ci
(Tang) Wang Zhihuan
Far up the Yellow River among the white clouds, there is an isolated city called Wanren Mountain.
Why bamboo flute complain willow, spring is not degree Pass.
Liangzhou Ci: It is the lyrics of Liangzhou Song. It is the name of a tune popular in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Many poets liked this tune and filled in new lyrics for it. Therefore, poets in the Tang Dynasty all wrote "Liangzhou Ci"
Wang Zhihuan: AD 688-742, named Ji Ling, ranked seventh, originally from Jinyang (now Taiyuan, Shanxi), and the fifth generation Zulong moved to Jiangzhou (now Xinjiang, Shanxi). He once served as the chief secretary of Hengshui, Jizhou, but resigned due to slander and stayed at home for fifteen years. In his later years, he served as a lieutenant in Wen'an County (now Yu, Hebei Province) and died in an official residence. He was generous and broad-minded, good at composing frontier poems, and sang harmoniously with Gao Shi, Wang Changling, Cui Guofu, etc., and became famous for a while. There are six quatrains in "Complete Poems of the Tang Dynasty", all of which are famous poems passed down through the generations.
Master the meaning of words:
1. Liangzhou Ci: It is the lyrics of Liangzhou Song, not the title of the poem, but the name of a tune that was popular in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Liangzhou, now Wuwei, Gansu.
2. Wanren: describes extremely high. Ren, the ancient unit of length, one Ren is equivalent to seven or eight feet.
3. Qiang flute: a wind instrument played by ethnic minorities in northwest China in ancient times.
4. Why: Why bother.
5. Willow: refers to a song called "Folding Willow". In the Tang Dynasty, there was a custom of breaking off willow trees as gifts. "Liu" and "Liu" are homophonic, so gifting willow means taking a commemoration.
6. Degree: beyond.
Modern translation of ancient poems
On the vast plateau, the Yellow River rushes forward. Looking from a distance to the west, it seems to be flowing out of white clouds.
Surrounded by mountains and rivers, an isolated city on the frontier stands tall.
Why does the Qiang flute always play the plaintive tune "Breaking Willows"? You know, outside the Yumen Pass is a place where the spring breeze cannot blow, so there are no willows to break!
Think: What does this poem show?
It shows the miserable life of frontier soldiers, but it is sad without losing its strength. It also shows the broad mind of the poets in the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
Read the first two lines of the poet's poem describing the frontier fortress, and imagine how the soldiers who have been stationed here for a long time feel.
After reading the last two sentences, tell me why the border guards felt sad when they heard the tune "Breaking Willows" played by the Qiang flute? What does "why blame" mean? How does it express the poet's feelings?
Main point
In the poem "Liangzhou Ci", the author expresses the poet's heroic spirit by describing how the soldiers who were stationed in the isolated city in the upper reaches of the Yellow River and lived a hard life heard the Qiang flute playing "The Willow Song" and could not help but miss their hometown and relatives. And tenderness. It also expresses the poet's deep sympathy for the soldiers guarding the border.
