I missed you, too. I missed you too.
Structure: subject + past tense of verb + other.
Meaning: Sentences in the simple past tense are usually used to express an action or state of existence that occurred at a certain time in the past, or an action that occurred frequently or repeatedly in the past. Use the past tense of the verb to express, often used with adverbials expressing past time, such as: yesterday, last night, in + the past year, two days ago, etc.
(1) Affirmative sentence: subject + past tense of verb + others.
Example: He played basketball yesterday. He played basketball yesterday.
Liu Ying was in the US last year. Liu Ying was in the US last year.
(2) Negative sentence: subject + did + not + verb (phrase) original form + other.
(did not abbreviated as didn’t)
Example: He didn’t play basketball yesterday.
He didn't play basketball yesterday.
They didn’t go to school last week.

The formation of the past tense of verbs [Advantages]
(1) Rule changes:
① Generally add ed directly to the end of the verb.
For example: watch—watched, play—played.
②For verbs ending with the silent letter e, add d directly to the end of the word.
For example: dance—danced, like—liked.
③For verbs ending in "consonant + y", first change y to i, and then add ed.
For example: study—studied, try—tried.
④For stressed closed syllable verbs that end with a single consonant, double the last consonant first and then add ed.
For example: stop—stopped, plan—planned. .
(2) Irregular changes: require separate memory.
For example: is/am—was, are—were, do/does—did,
have/has—had, make—made, get—got,
