The red sunset casts golden light.
The autumn wind blows, and waves roll up on the river.
The vast white reed flowers look like giant dragons rolling in the autumn wind.
The returning teal disappears into the dusk.
The earth seems particularly quiet amid the bells of the ancient temple.
Literary writer Ji Xiaolan accompanied Emperor Qianlong on a walk along the river. I saw a small boat on the river bank with an old fisherman on it, holding a fishing rod and fishing quietly. He stared at the float intently, motionless. Soon, the fish float on the water swayed and suddenly submerged into the water. The old fisherman pulled up the fishing rod hard and caught a big, lively golden carp. He slapped his thigh happily and laughed. The waterbirds in the reeds were so frightened that they took off, raising pieces of white reed flowers.
