Description
"Household Electricity" Exploring Circuit PPT Courseware 4
1. Electric shock
Why is higher voltage more dangerous?
Current is proportional to voltage. The higher the voltage, the greater the current in the conductor, so the danger increases.
Under normal circumstances: voltages below 36V are safe, but in humid environments, the safe voltage is 24V or even below 12V
1. Electric shock: refers to the injury accident caused when the electric current reaches a certain amount through the human body.
2. The size of the current passing through the human body depends on: external voltage and human body resistance
2. Light bulb access circuit
3. Precautions for safe use of electricity
Why can't you touch the switch with wet hands?
For the human body, the drier the skin, the greater the resistance. The resistance of moist skin is small. If the skin is wet when getting an electric shock, the current passing through will be larger, which is very dangerous.
In addition, if touched with wet hands, water can easily flow into the electrical appliance, connecting the human body to the power supply, causing danger.
Never touch the switch with wet hands.
Principles of safe use of electricity
Do not come into contact with low-voltage charged objects, do not approach high-voltage charged objects, and be alert to objects that should not be charged, and objects that should be insulated to conduct electricity:
1. Prevent damage to the insulation part
2. Keep the insulation part dry
3. Avoid contact between wires and other metal objects
4. Regular inspections and timely repairs are required.
4. First aid for electric shock
It is clear: People must be saved but their own safety must be ensured. Do these three methods work?
First aid for electric shock
1. Remove the person who gets an electric shock from the power source as soon as possible
(1) If the electric shock site is far away from the switch or there is no condition to turn off the power supply, the rescuer can stand on a dry wooden board, grab the clothes with one hand and pull the person away from the power supply, or use dry wooden sticks, bamboo poles, etc. to remove the electricity from the power source. The person who was electrocuted was picked apart.
(2) If an electric shock occurs between the live line and the ground, you can use a dry rope to pull the person's body off the ground, or use a dry wooden board to separate the body from the ground, and then try to turn off the power.
(3) If you have an insulated wire at hand, you can first ground one end well, and connect the other end to the live object that the person who got an electric shock is in contact with to short-circuit the phase power supply to the ground.
(4) You can also use tools with insulated handles such as knives, axes, and hoes on hand to cut or pry off the wires.
practice
1. Which of the four operating behaviors in the figure complies with safe electricity usage regulations ( )
A. In picture A, when someone gets an electric shock and cannot cut off the power supply, he immediately uses a dry wooden stick to open the wires.
B. In picture B, hold the metal rod of the electric test pen with your hand to determine whether there is electricity in the socket.
C. In picture C, after the fuse is blown, a copper wire is used instead of the fuse to connect to the circuit.
D. In the picture, use wet hands to pull out the plug.
2. "Cherish life and pay attention to safety" is a consciousness that students must have in their daily lives. Which of the following statements is wrong ( )
A. If an electric shock accident occurs, cut off the power supply immediately and then provide rescue
B. When it thunders and rains, you cannot stand under a big tree to take shelter from the rain.
C. Climbing transmission towers is strictly prohibited
D. If many household appliances do not have a three-hole socket, you can remove the longest plug from the three-pin plug and insert it into a two-hole socket.
