1. The past participle is used as an object complement after the state verbs such as keep and leave.

(1) "have/get + object + past participle" can mean two meanings: "to make others do something" or "to encounter some misfortune."

5. The past participle is used in the structure "with + object + object complement". The past participle and the object have a verb-object relationship.

The living room is clean and tidy, with a dining table already laid for a meal to be cooked.

John received an invitation to dinner, and with his work finished, he gladly accepted it.
