It is known that the road to the spring is close, but it is difficult to leave my hometown.
Yipo/Return Day, Lingqi/Kongjikan.
translation
After three years of wandering, today I became a prisoner of the Qing soldiers again. The tears shed for the broken mountains and rivers flow endlessly. Who can say that the heaven and earth are vast and boundless? We already know that the road to Huangquan is very close, and it is really hard to say goodbye to our hometown forever. After his death, he became a ghost, and he wanted to come back and watch his successors from the air take back the mountains and rivers under the banner of resisting the Qing Dynasty.
Bieyunjian PPT, the third part: word appreciation
First couplet: I have been detained for three years, and today I am in Nanguan again.
The author uses allusions to express the poet's sadness and resentment after being arrested in a bitter battle.
Chin couplet: Infinite mountains and rivers tears, who said the world is broad.
The author here expresses the sorrow of the hero who has lost his way.
Neck couplet: It is known that the road to the spring is close, but it is difficult to leave my hometown.
Here, the author has made up his mind to commit suicide to become a benevolent person, but it is difficult to say goodbye to his hometown and relatives. This shows the author's emotional and psychological contradictions and expresses his attachment to his hometown.
The last couplet: On the day when Yipo returns, look at the spiritual flag in the sky.
This shows the author's determination to fight to the death and never stop fighting.
Bieyunjian PPT, Part 4: Thinking and Exploration
Which word does the poem express its emotions around? How does the whole poem capture this word to describe the emotion lyrically?
The whole poem revolves around the word "farewell" to express emotions.
The first couplet says goodbye. The author left his hometown for the past three years because he was a "traveler", that is, to fight against the Qing Dynasty. But today I am a prisoner.
The chin couplet writes farewell. Because the situations before and after the "farewell" were different, the mood was also different. The difference between the past and the present is still hopeful that there is hope to resist the Qing Dynasty and the rivers and mountains can be restored. But after this farewell, he could no longer raise an army to fight against the Qing Dynasty, so facing the broken rivers and mountains, he could not shed endless tears of sadness.
Neck couplet writes farewell. The author knows that this is a farewell, which is different from the previous farewell. The last time I left my hometown, I joined the anti-Qing army with a generous heart. It was easy to say goodbye, but this time it was difficult. I must die when I leave. After death, what will happen to my hometown, my parents, my loving mother and my wife, all of which make people attached to me. concern.
The last couplet is written after farewell. The author became a ghost after farewell, but he still cared about his hometown and wanted to return to watch his successors lead the troops to fight against the Qing Dynasty from the sky.
Bieyunjian PPT, Part 5: Background Information
This poem was written by Xia Wanchun, the anti-Qing hero in the late Ming Dynasty, when he was arrested and escorted away from his hometown. The word "farewell" in the title of the poem "Farewell to the Clouds" is not a farewell or farewell in the ordinary sense, but should be understood as a farewell and eternal farewell that is difficult to see again. He is a general who resisted the Qing Dynasty and a key criminal of the Qing court. Once caught, he will definitely die. He knows this very well. Xia Wanchun was from Huating, Songjiang. Why is this poem not titled "Farewell to Songjiang" but "Farewell to the Clouds"?
It turns out that "Yunjian" is another name for Songjiang. The Western Jin Dynasty writer Lu Yun, whose courtesy name was Shilong, lived in Huating. He called himself "Yunjian Land Dragon", so later generations called Songjiang Yunjian. The title of this poem is "Farewell to the Clouds", which is actually a pun: it literally means farewell to hometown, but the poet compares himself to a dragon in the sky, which will disappear from the clouds.
Bieyunjian PPT, Part Six: Comparative Study
Crossing the Lingding Ocean
Wen Tianxiang
After all the hardships, only a few stars were scattered around.
The mountains and rivers are broken, the wind flutters and the catkins float, and the life experience is ups and downs.
Afraid to say panic on the beach, sigh alone in the ocean.
Who has never died since ancient times? Keep your loyalty to reflect history.
What the two poems have in common:
Both poems show the author's unhesitating choice of his own destiny. It embodies the impassioned patriotic enthusiasm, the high moral integrity and the outlook on life of sacrificing one's life for righteousness. It is a noble expression of the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation.
