"Don't forget the man who dug the well when you are drinking water" PPT courseware 6
Introduction to Mao Zedong
A great Marxist, proletarian revolutionist, strategist and theorist, the main founder and leader of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the People's Republic of China.
In July 1921, he attended the first National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In 1931, the Provisional Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic was established in Ruijin, Jiangxi Province, and he was elected as chairman. Together with Zhu De, he led the Red Army to defeat multiple "encirclement and suppression" campaigns by the Kuomintang army. On October 1, 1949, the People's Republic of China was established and he was elected chairman of the Central People's Government.
There is a small village outside Ruijin called Shazhouba. Chairman Mao lived there when he was leading the revolution in Jiangxi.
In order to make the well water purer, Chairman Mao personally went down to the bottom of the well, spread sand and gravel, and lined it with charcoal. Clear spring water trickled out from the bottom of the well, and people cheered and jumped for joy, rushing to drink the water from the well. The sweet well water nourishes the heart of the first man.
After liberation, the villagers erected a stone tablet next to the well, which was engraved with: Never forget the man who dug the well when drinking water, and always think of Chairman Mao.
Our happy life is hard-won. Cherish the good life. Remember all the people who love us and care about us - our ancestors, our parents, our teachers... Let us always remember their kindness.
